Hello, I’m Sam. I have grown up with dogs and absolutely love being around them. I currently have two, who were the inspiration behind the name “Toodles” – a combination of their breeds (Tibetan Terrier and Poodle). I have a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming from City & Guilds and I have had training in First Aid for dogs.
Hi, I’m Tia. I was born in South Africa and moved to Dartmouth five years ago. I am currently studying Animal Management at South Devon College in order to work with animals in rehabilitation. I will be working at Toodles on Saturdays to gain more experience and knowledge of working with dogs.
This is Charlie – who put the ‘oodle’ in Toodles. Charlie was rescued when he was 18 months old. He absolutely adores playing fetch – even if you don’t take a ball out with you, he’ll find one! He loves being centre of attention, so if he’s too quiet, it’s a sure sign he’s up to mischief somewhere! Charlie is a miniature poodle, and proved to have the patience of a saint while I was practising my trade.
This is Poppy, my little Tibetan terrier. Also a rescue, we found each other much later in her life. It’s been wonderful to see her confidence grow and her inquisitive nature come out. Unfortunately, some of her past experiences have meant that bathrooms are not her favourite spaces. However, through gentle and patient work, she now finds being groomed a far more relaxing experience.
